| The scale for grading color in diamonds begins with D and ends with Z. After Z they are graded as a fancy stones.
The color grade of a diamond is also one of the most important contributing factors to the diamonds value. Depending on the size of the stone, cut and whether it has been mounted the more apparent its color will be. |

| Cut : |
| |
| The cut is the brilliance, fire, and scintillation of the stone and its purchase price. The better the diamond has been cut the better the make, the more beautiful the diamond will be. The overall appearance is the make of the diamond; if the diamond looks good to the eye it most likely has good angles, facet junctions and finish or polish. The largest cutting centers in the world are New York, Antwerp, Africa and India.
A well-cut and well proportional diamond allows the maximum amount of light to enter, reflect and return to your eye.
Diamonds with the combination of highest 4c ratings are rarer and consequently more expensive.
To have the brilliance, sparkle, and fire in a diamond the relationship between the sizes and angles are very important. |
